Hello again! I’ve meant for this to be a weekly thing, but I haven’t really kept up that schedule super well. Hoping that November becomes easier for me to do that with. Hoping some of those outside the business distractions, like selling my house and moving to a new one, get finalized this coming month and I can settle into more of a routine.
An interesting thing I’ve been following lately is the VeeFriends Compete and Collect game, also called VeeFriends Collectable Trading Card Game. It is a very limited print run game, there were 55,555 booster boxes printed. So even the most common cards are relatively rare. The exact print runs for the “Core” rarity cards, i.e., the non-serialized cards, are not disclosed, but many appear to be in much shorter supply than others. I’ve been looking to pick up lots of these Core cards from eBay in the range of $.50 each, because I believe that this brand will get much bigger rather than just disappear, and these early trading cards will be valuable. Also, many of them are actually going in the $1-3 range, so I’m still working my normal bulk purchasing model, just on a smaller scale. If it’s something you’re interested in, definitely worth giving them a look.
If you haven’t seen it, I just put out my Seller Levels 2 and 3 video for my Getting Good series. Feel free to go check it out, and I’ll have a lot more content coming in November. I didn’t make it through my whole list of ideas for October, so that plus all my new ideas will keep November full I’m sure.
I also plan to be finally putting down on paper the first draft of my Bulk Processing System, which should be adaptable by anyone looking to go through large quantities of bulk trading cards and listing all of them on TCGplayer. There will be later versions for other platforms I’m sure, as well as continually improved versions as I change update my practices. This will always be available to members of my Patreon as a free download, in whatever form the current version takes. For those who don’t wish to join my Patreon, it will be available as download from my Ko-Fi store as well.
So, looking forward into November, the biggest goal I want to set for myself is consistency. I want to consistently put out video content, put out this newsletter, sort and add cards to my inventory, ship orders daily, and basically run my business. Like I’ve said, it’s hard when things outside the business have been pulling me apart, between the kids being sick and all this stuff around my house sale needing to be taken care of. I have to be able to say, to myself and others, this is my business, it’s not optional.
Finally, I’m going to start opening up to purchasing bulk again either towards the end of November or the beginning of December. I expect my monthly acquisition budget will go quickly, but I want to be able to offer that out to you guys, I’ve felt bad that I haven’t been able to for a few months. Look for updated pricing on the Bulk Buylist Comparison page, and hopefully (fingers crossed) I can start to post graphs of the prices over time, something I’m really looking forward to being able to provide.
