Missed you all
Sorry there was no newsletter last weekend. My brain was just not letting anything come together, and I really didn’t have much new in the way of bulk product to offer.
Meanwhile, a lot of things have been happening. Chedy has stepped down as CEO of TCGplayer, further cementing the nestling of TCGplayer under the eBay umbrella. I think this was pretty much an expected move after the buyout occurred. Chedy has got his payout, and has served his requisite transition time. eBay will be putting in their own choice for a replacement before long, which will be the real indication of where TCGplayer will go in the eBay Universe of Stars (a phrase I’ve borrowed from That Thing You Do! lol). I for one am hopeful but not really expecting that eBay will get new bulk listing options for trading cards, that TCGplayer will get the Standard Envelope treatment, and that there may be a sports card market either built into or alongside of TCGplayer. The Standard Envelope thing doesn’t seem like it would be that hard to do - buysportscards.com has a similar service (though it’s a little higher). As far as other things, I really can’t speculate till we have more info about the future leadership there.
There are new product releases happening right now, lots of interesting stuff coming into the market. I hope that’s fun for everyone, I’m looking forward to scooping up a bunch of bulk from newly opened product over the next few weeks.
In the meantime - I have plenty of bulk added to the Ko-Fi shop this week. Still have lots of Flesh and Blood, though I am out of CRUu and ARCu at the moment. I do have plenty of UPR and DYN if you’d like them though. Also, I’ve got a whole lot of Pokemon bulk C/U available, and for the first time Weiss Schwarz bulk. I guess my video about it got some attention, people have been contacting me to sell WS bulk for the first time ever. So that’s super exciting, these cards look great!
I really like Ko-Fi, but they seem to be a bit limiting. I’ve never really done anything with Shopify, and I don’t like the idea of having to pay for it. The nice thing about Ko-Fi is the price (i.e., free, just fees on sales). If anyone out there wants to reach out to me about how to do Shopify things, I’ll be a willing ear (or eyes, as the case may be).
If you’ve seen my most recent video, you’ll know about the collab I’m doing with MTech Cave to develop a wooden Shipping Shield dispenser. They already to lots of interesting laser-cut wooden accessories, as well as 3D printed things and just selling sealed product, singles, and other accessories. When the Shipping Shield dispenser goes live, exclusively through Shipping Shields website, I’ll let you all know, and maybe even do a video about it. And if you want to tryout any other of MTech Cave’s products, be sure to use discount code ‘TCGBULKKINGS’ at checkout to save 5% (and I’ll get 5% as well, so it’ll help support me too =] ).
In the meantime, BCW Supplies still have their code for me as well, same code in fact, ‘TCGBULKKINGS’, to save 10% from them and support me also, if you’re needing any of their fine supplies.
Next week’s newsletter will have the next bulk market update, so look forward to that, and I’m hoping to have more of a mix of things for the bulk store. Cheers!
